Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Agu Ukaogo, is a native of Nigeria and graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Fitness and Nutrition, as well as Business Management. Following graduation, Agu signed with an agent, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams in modeling and acting. He went on to star in national modeling campaigns for Kroger and Hyundai, to name a few and made a guest appearance on BET’s hit comedy-drama series, “The Game.”
Passionate about health and nutrition, Agu launched AGU Fitness, an all-encompassing empowerment and lifestyle program, offering fitness tips, personal training sessions, and healthy recipes to help you reach your fitness goals. With a physique women love and men appreciate, Agu mixes up his workouts and trains 4-5 days a week to keep his body in top shape focusing on running, circuit training and weight lifting.
You can see Agu in Bravo’s newest reality docuseries “Invite Only Cabo,” which follows celebrity hairstylist Larry Sims, who throws a luxury vacation for his circle of friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
Who is your biggest supporter?
My mother rest her soul was and is my biggest supporter and even though she is in heaven I do this for her and my siblings.
How and when did you start into fitness and modeling?
Funny, at 20 yes old I got into modeling by entering a couples contest with an ex-girlfriend and we won. From there the agency signed me and shortly after I started taking training serious because I was always skinny (tall and skinny) growing up and I wanted to make a change.
What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?
This show on Bravo, Invite Only Cabo
What keeps you motivated to keep training hard and eating right?
Feeling good, looking good and having a long life span. Plus I paid for it, which makes it easier. LOL 🙂
What is your workout routine these days?
5-6 days a week, broken down daily by body parts, 1-2 of those days is heavy lifting days, other days are moderate weight higher in reps, (circuit training) with cardio warm up before every workout.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Kale cold, sautéed or blended LOL. Kale, Kale, Kale
And your favorite cheat food?
Pizza and burger

7 friends, 6 whom have never met goes on vacation.
What is the show is about?
One friend bringing all of his friends from different circles that have never met.
What has been your most memorable experience from the set?
Making or trying to make a cake for one of the cast mates.
How did you got selected for it?
My friend Larry Sims, who brought us together, asked me if I would be interested. Initially I was on the fence with going on vacay with people I don’t know, but Larry is a solid friend and the show is about him so I said why not, what’s the worst that could happen.
What other projects have you been a part of?
Been in commercial modeling with campaigns for Hyundai, Kroger to name a few.
What music do you like?
Hip hop first, but love all genres and have really been into Jazz lately
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Church and doing absolutely nothing and not feeling guilty.
Do you support any charity?
Anything with mentoring young boys and Cancer because my mom away passed from it.
3 things you can’t leave home without?
Cell phone, chapstick and water.
What do you think of Social Media?
I love being able to communicate with family and friends and all the opportunities it’s created for people. The only down fall is everyone is doing or creating the same things.
